Standards Adoption Council

To affect industry wide change, we need broad industry engagement and adoption of standards.

“We now have a standard expectation from providers of what is expected and valued.”

Description

Purpose

To drive adoption of the existing HIRC standards and advise on the creation of new ones.  Adoption of standards clarifies expectations, aligns interests, improve efficiency, and unlocks greater value for trading partners.

Problem to Solve

The HIRC standards for mapping, business continuity maturity assessment (BCM), scorecarding, Transparency badge, and Resiliency badge have been created but adoption is low.  Providers may lack awareness of the value and how to deploy.  GPOs adoption path may vary.  Reinforcement may be incomplete.
